StorMagic signs first distribution agreement in EMEA with Prianto

StorMagic adopts two tier channel model. Storage vendor StorMagic has moved to a two tier channel model with signing of distributor Prianto in the UK, and Prianto GmbH in Germany, Switzerland and Austria


Earlier this month the firm, which describes itself as a software-defined storage vendor that enables a hyper-converged infrastructure for virtualised environments, launched its first global partner programme.

It said it would be moving to a hundred percent indirect sales model as a result, using its partners to fulfill all future orders of its SvSAN product line.

“We are delighted to offer StorMagic’s SvSAN to our reseller base. We genuinely believe that there is nothing similar on the market today and that the product is unmatched in terms of its innovation and its relevance to modern businesses,” says Yuri Pasea, CEO at Prianto UK.

StorMagic claims SvSAN eliminates the need for physical SANs and reduces server and software spend by 40 percent. Says Pasea: “We are particularly attracted to StorMagic’s SvSAN as it allows our partners to deliver the proven benefits of virtualisation technology to more cost sensitive SMEs and businesses with multiple remote office locations. This will be a massive benefit to new and existing customers, and has the potential to open up an entirely new revenue stream for us.”
